Rhode Island Health Department has updatede regulations regarding the Managers Certified Food Safety License and the Re-certification process here.

Rhode Island--The following are updates in Certified Food Safety Regulations and Requirements that will be enforce by RI Health Department starting January 1, 2018


     Certification will be an 8 hour class including a test

     A person in charge who is certified must be on at all times during food preparation and service

     Recertification every 3 years which requires taking the exam. Classroom hours are not required but are available for recertification.
